The purpose of this study was to explore how facility-canine assistant therapy (FCAT) programs are being used in pediatric hospitals across the country, and to understand the experiences of CCLS' who are also FCAT handlers.
Objectives:
Demonstrate an understanding of facility-canine assistant therapy (FCAT) programs.
Identify the research study design and analyses used for this study.
Verbalize the responsibilities and challenges of a CCLS who is also a FCAT handler.

Brittany Wittenberg Camp, PhD, CCLS, CFLE is the FCC Development Program Coordinator for the Child Life and Therapeutic Arts Program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Brittany’s research interests include academic and research preparation of child life students; healthcare professionals' perception of the CCLS role; and the impact of child life services on children, their families, and healthcare providers.
