This intensive course will explore how the combination, or intersection, of multiple identities, impacts one’s relationships. Drawing on personal reflection and historical influences, participants will investigate how their identities are connected to their professional roles within child life. Participants will demonstrate an awareness of how intersectional identities appear in the work of child life and use this awareness to take ownership of their actions in practice and elevate the work of families and the multi-disciplinary team.
