  • This comprehensive certification exam study guide includes a webinar, exam information pamphlet (available for download) and 50 question online quiz that has not yet been updated since the 2024 changes to the content outline. These materials, designed by ACLP in partnership with the Education and Training Committee, are intended to help future child life specialists be prepared for the certification exam. Purchase of this study guide is not required in order to take the CCLS exam and does not guarantee a passing score. This resource is online only. This study guide was developed independently from CLCC and is not reviewed or approved by CLCC. Performance on the practice items is not predictive of performance on the exam.

  • This intensive course will explore how the combination, or intersection, of multiple identities impacts one’s relationships. Drawing on personal reflection and historical influences, participants will investigate how their identities are connected to their professional roles within child life. Participants will demonstrate an awareness of how intersectional identities appear in the work of child life and use this awareness to take ownership of their actions in practice and elevate the work of families and the multi-disciplinary team. 4 PDUs Domain: DEI (can be categorized in the domain of your choosing) This course is funded by a grant from the Walt Disney Company.

  • Indigenous Perspectives in the Clinical Setting will examine key issues, themes, and practical information intended to better equip Child Life professionals to engage with Indigenous communities and individuals more successfully. This series will be made available to free for all our members and consists of four parts which break down central ideas. Each session is intended to be interactive and engaging. Opportunities to ask questions are encouraged both prior to and after sessions. Information is intended for Child Life professionals in all settings and attendance is encouraged for all members. Indigenous issues impact health facilities all over the United States, from the most rural facilities to large urban children’s hospitals. Each session is useful for all participants at both an interpersonal and programming level, helping to ensure equitable understanding of Indigenous issues and priorities cultivates better understanding within the healthcare setting.
