Katie McEwen is currently a Certified Child Life Specialist II at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital working in the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute outpatient clinic. Katie has her Masters of Science in Child Life from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy from Southern Methodist University. Katie is currently the President of the Great Lakes Association of Child Life Professionals and presented at various regional and national conferences.
Wanda Meriwether (MSW, LSW)

Wanda Meriwether currently works as a Neuro-oncology Social Worker in the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Ms. Meriwether received a BA in Psychology at the University of Louisville along with receiving a MSW in Social Work at the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Meriwether has worked at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for 18 years.

Hospital Play Team Leader
Yuki Nagano, MS, CCLS, works mainly in the surgical wards in Osaka Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Japan. Her work includes providing psychological preparation, procedural support, and therapeutic play to children and adolescents with various socioeconomic, family, and developmental backgrounds. She works as a leader of the Hospital Play Team where CCLSs and child care staff are working together and providing pediatric psychosocial care. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with MS in Applied Developmental Psychology in 2014. She worked in the early intervention and early childhood education field in Pittsburgh before returning to Japan. She loves to learn different cultural perspectives in child life and created an exchange learning program between CCLSs in China and Japan in 2018 with financial support from Osaka Public Health Association. She is interested in optimal social-emotional development in young children in hospital settings.
