    Emily Mozena is a Professor of Instruction at The University of Iowa, teaching several courses at the undergraduate and graduate level each semester and is the program director for the B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation and the M.S. in Health & Human Physiology with a sub-Track Child Life. Emily Mozena has a master's degree in Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. In addition, she is currently working on her PhD in Educational Psychology and Learning Sciences. She is dually certified in Therapeutic Recreation (CTRS) and Child Life (CCLS), with an additional training with the Registered Wonders and Worries Provider (RWWP) program. Emily was a senior child life specialist at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital for 7 years and then began teaching, and now has been teaching for over 18 years at the University of Iowa. Her research interests are in school re-entry for children with chronic illness and extended hospitalization and with children and adolescents and their coping and resiliency when their parent is diagnosed with cancer. She has two daughters, two dogs, and one husband, and lives in Iowa City.

    Megan has been a Certified Child Life Specialist since 2003. She received her bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies from Baylor University.  Megan is now the Child Life Educator at Children's Hospital Colorado, which includes serving as the internship coordinator. Prior to her work as the Child Life Educator, Megan worked directly with patients in outpatient cardiology, surgical services, inpatient post-surgical unit as well as the Emergency Department.  Megan has been an active member with the ACLP, having served on various committees and is currently serving as the CLCC Secretary.  Megan also serves as the Mountain West Child Life Association President.  Megan lives in Denver with her husband and two boys.

Dr. Tucker has conducted research and published extensively on sibling relationships, parenting, and mental health for over 25 years.     Trish Haneman Cox, MSW, MSED, CCLS brings over 28 years of experience in social services. She worked nine years in pediatric hematology-oncology in New York, fostering her commitment to the child life profession. Trish has served twice on the board of the Association of Child Life Professionals and actively contributes to ACLP across committees and local engagement.  She currently is a  Clinical Associate Professor and MSW Director at UNH, teaching across the curriculum of social work and child life.     Becki Steel is a certified child life specialist based in British Columbia, Canada, with a Master of Science in pediatric Psychosocial Care from McMaster University.   She worked at BC Children's Hospital from 2020 to 2025 as a certified child life specialist in the Emergency Department, PICU, Acute Rehabilitation, and Medical Imaging units. Throughout her time at BC Children's, she had the opportunity to support several research and QI initiatives, was a child life leader on the institution's successful ChildKind application, and started the BCCH Child Life Mentorship Program. Becki currently works as the Child Life Practice Lead for Victoria General Hospital on Vancouver Island and teaches in Douglas College's Child and Youth Care Department.
